    This position is responsible and accountable for managing the day to day business functions of the Supply Chain services department.  This includes oversight of people and processes within the department including processing carrier claims and freight invoice management in addition to coordination of operational tasks related to inbound and outbound transportation. The position demands effective investigative and problem solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy due to the impacts on our clients, their customers, and freight carriers. The position requires daily management and coordination of direct reporting resources. The position will require effective interpersonal relationship skills and oral and written communication skills, both internal and external, in performing this job. The position will demand a defined process or methodology to effectively and consistently research freight claims and freight invoices to ensure success

    • Manage the day to day supply chain department operations
    • Develop a small team to design and implement holistic process of improvement programs to ensure the team is structured to respond quickly and efficiently to day-to-day issues to maintain supply continuity
    • Execute operational initiatives that increase revenue and/or improve margins
    • Support the freight audit relationship with contracted carriers and aid in managing carrier relationships.
    • Oversee freight / shipment analysis & financial implications holistically and at the individual client and carrier levels
    • Ensure departmental work is accomplished effectively by managing employee performance, work processes and other resources
    • Trending of supply chain challenges with associated CAPAs; implement improvements accordingly
    • Conduct analysis and implement relevant business continuity and risk management programs across the supply chain
    • Manage and lead a dedicated team of Logistics professionals, developing and mentoring talent
    • Develop/Update and maintain supply chain SOPs to ensure all key processes are documented and submitted to the quality system (DQMS). Includes creating, updating, documenting and training
    • Ensure supply chain processes comply with regulations that apply to EVERSANA’s business model
    • Responsible for ensuring all Logistics requirements are met for current and future business needs based on forecasts, new product launches and acquisitions
    • Adhere to acceptable standards of business ethics and integrity, and comply with all federal state and local laws, rules and regulations in all aspects of business always; maintain compliance with EVERSANA quality system, rules, procedures and guidelines

    • Execute the goals established by the business and the Supply Chain services leader
    • Effectively delegate tasks, responsibility, and accountability to teams to ensure execution is performed to a standard of excellence
    • Responsible for managing their respective department and improving the quality of the departments work product
    • Assess and determine appropriate personnel and structure to accomplish necessary day to day functions and ensure efficient execution of Supply Chain Services
    • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff within the confines of stated business goals and company policies & procedures


    The incumbent is responsible for the management of day to day operational and administrative functions of the supply chain (transportation) team, including:

    • Accountable for the timely and accurate processing of carrier billing and client billing
    • Oversees the transformation of billing to TMS auditing, billing and maintaining metrics and reports
    • Monitor service levels for accuracy, identifying gaps and root causes then executing solutions
    • Maintain transportation team SOP’s and Work Instructions and ensure team members are adequately trained on them
    • Enhance the network of domestic and global transportation providers
    • Develop KPI’s to ensure proper carrier and service provider performance
    • Establish controls for anticipatory logistics to mitigate and reduce the risk for problems
    • Ensure compliance and controls for Customs, FDA, DSCSA, DOT, IATA, ICAO and DEA
    • This position will be involved in investigating discrepancies in supply chain deliverables
    • All other duties as assigned

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or any field of study.
    • Expert knowledge of transportation modes including parcel, courier, LTL, FTL, air freight, import-export air and sea freight
    • Advanced knowledge of transportation billing and audit processes and systems
    • Current knowledge of Global Cold Chain transportation
    • Super user level technology skills using WMS, TMS, MS Office Excel and Power BI
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, pharmaceutical industry knowledge is a plus.
    • Advanced leadership and people management skills including cross-functional teams
    • Extensive experience implementing business process improvements, integrations


    • Education MBA preferred or equivalent experience
    • Experience and/or Training Knowledge in managing global transportation logistics
    • Licenses/Certificates APICS, PMP, Lean / Six Sigma certification desirable
    • Technology/Equipment Transportation Management System User - MercuryGate

    Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
